PCF SPARKLETOTS: THE BEST PRESCHOOL FOR OUR CHILD IN SINGAPORE

Our Experience in Choosing PCF Sparkletots: the Best Preschool For Our Child in Singapore

The happy kiddos, waiting for their medals. Awarding ceremony!

Preschool education plays a crucial role in a child’s overall development, and selecting the best preschool can be a daunting task for parents. Fortunately, we were blessed to discover PCF Sparkletots, one of Singapore’s largest and most esteemed preschools.

For non-residents of Singapore, finding a suitable preschool can be especially challenging due to limited options. Local schools prioritize Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, while international schools can be quite expensive. All schools in Singapore operate on a first-come, first-served enrollment basis. However, Sparkletots offers over 360 locations across the island and serves more than 40,000 children, making it a worthy option to consider. Tuition fees for full-day infant/child care at Sparkletots range from SGD 700+ to SGD 2000+ per month, depending on the child’s age, level, and status. For exact tuition fees, please inquire directly at Sparkletots near your location. Other international preschools in Singapore typically start at SGD 800 to SGD 1000+ per month.

Last year, we were grateful when PCF Sparkletots opened its slots to foreign dependent pass holders like us and accepted our 3-year-old daughter into Nursery 1. They currently offer programs for children from 18 months in playgroup up to Kinder 2 for 6-year-olds. For exact and complete details, kindly visit their website https://www.pcf.org.sg/sparkletots/about-us/.

In this article, we’ll discuss PCF Sparkletots’ philosophy and programs that make it a popular choice for parents.

7 Reasons why PCF Sparkletots Is The Best Preschool for Our Child in Singapore

1. PCF Sparkletots is More Than Just a Preschool.

The caring teachers of Sparkletots! Salute!

From what I’ve seen firsthand, they treat my daughter and other kids with the utmost care both inside and outside the classroom. For us, it’s a place where our child can thrive and grow to her fullest potential. I saw this firsthand when I had the chance to sit in on the class for three days. I was amazed by their gentleness and patience in understanding and imparting discipline to the kids. I also heard the same feedback from my fellow Filipino and Myanmar co-Moms, please see testimonials from other parents https://www.pcf.org.sg/sparkletots/about-us/#testimonials. Additionally, they treat all the kids equally, regardless of their different backgrounds and races. We are also blessed that, on top of having many caring teachers, a principal, and admin staff, many Filipino teachers provide extra love and care to our children.

Fascinating Vision, mission, and core values of PCF Sparkletots!

I find PCF Sparkletots’ vision, mission, and core values fascinating and beneficial for our child’s overall development. Their vision is to create confident and creative learners with caring hearts, while their mission is to provide quality learning that nurtures children holistically. Their core values, represented by the acronym GRIT, stand for graciousness, respect, integrity, and teamwork. I have witnessed my child learning these values through activities such as taking turns, potty training, forming friendships, showing respect for elders, collaborating with peers, and developing life skills like dressing herself and creating her snacks. In addition to academic learning, PCF Sparkletts is helping to shape our children into a well-rounded individual.

4. Their Curriculum is Well-structured, and their teachers are Experienced and Well-Trained in Early Childhood Education.

Our family is pleased with the services of PCF Sparkletots, it is indeed the best preschool for our child in Singapore. They offer a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports our child’s growth and development. Their curriculum is well-structured, and their teachers are highly qualified and experienced in early childhood education. They provide a range of activities, such as music (song and dance both in English and Chinese) and movement, art and craft, language and literacy, science and discovery, and outdoor play, that cater to our child’s holistic development.

Here is the Little Family Room App that can be downloaded via google play.

What we love most about PCF Sparkletots is their commitment to parent-teacher communication. They keep us informed about our child’s progress and provide feedback on how we can support our child’s learning at home through the Little Family Room app that can be downloaded via Play Store. They regularly organize parent-teacher meetings and workshops, which allow us to engage with other parents and teachers. I also appreciate the assignments and evaluation period.

This includes temperature checks, as well as hand, feet, and mouth checks before entering the classrooms. Additionally, they take pictures before and after school to ensure that the child is properly turned over to registered parents or guardians. They also send home children who are not feeling well and provide extra clothes for kids who accidentally wet their pants. Furthermore, they serve healthy meals to the children.

6. PCF Sparkletots Offers a Range of Programs Designed to Provide a Holistic Learning Experience for Children of Different Age Groups.

SPARK, the Singapore Preschool Accreditation Framework.

From infant care to kindergarten and after-school care, their programs cater to social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Their amenities seem similar to those of a Montessori school in the Philippines. They have also received the SPARK commendation certification, which stands for the Singapore Preschool Accreditation Framework. This framework is a quality assurance system designed to help preschools in Singapore improve their overall quality.

Sample songs and rhythm for our kiddos!

One program that sets PCF Sparkletots apart is the Before Words Program, which is an innovative program that helps parents encourage communication and language development in their young children aged 0-3 years old by using keyword signs. By incorporating keyword signs into everyday routines and activities, parents can communicate more effectively with their young children before they can speak.

Our first family medal together with the sports day program. So amazing!

PCF Sparkletots also held their sports day on March 11, 2023. Nursery 2 (N2) to Kinder 2 (K2) students joined together in different sports activities to promote camaraderie, teamwork, and collaboration among children, parents, and teachers. Everyone enjoyed participating in different games, such as Balance IT, obstacle course, bouncing the ball, zigzag run, balance me, I can hit, tunnel, dress me up, balancing dual, and let’s throw. My husband and I were so happy to witness our 3-year-old daughter joining the sports meet and receiving our first family medal, especially when we saw how happy our child was participating in the activities.

7. We Have Secured Slots from N1 to K2 at a Preparatory School Here in Singapore Before Primary School.

The PCF Sparkletots’ new building is located at Dakota Breeze. It is beautiful inside and out!

The preparatory school involves the following stages: Nursery 1 (for 3-year-olds), Nursery 2 (for 4-year-olds), Kinder 1 (for 5-year-olds), and Kinder 2 (for 6-year-olds). Since my child was accepted into Nursery 1, we have secured our slots until Kinder 2. So, we still have 2 more years to prepare and look for another school for our child’s primary school. And that will be another journey and story to tell.

Conclusion:

The school our daughter attends is located in Mountbatten, but it will soon be transferred to the new Dakota Breeze location. She was moved up from N1 to N2 last January. We are looking forward to her continued learning and development as she finishes Kinder 2. We highly recommend PCF Sparkletots to parents who want to give their children the best possible start in life. We have experienced their commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that ensures children receive the support they need to develop important skills and build a strong foundation for future learning. Additionally, the teachers are highly trained and dedicated to helping each child reach their full potential. We have seen our daughter thrive under their care and guidance, and we are confident that other parents will have the same positive experience with PCF Sparkletots.
